celebrated at Hemis, the biggest Buddhist Monastery in Ladakh to
mark the birth anniversary of Guru Padmasambhava. Splendid
masked dances are performed to the accompaniment of cymbals,
drums and long horns. A colourful fair, displaying some
beautiful handicrafts, is the special highlight of the festival. |

Assistance on departure and transfer to domestic airport for
flight CD7431 to LEH. Depart : 0610hrs
Arrive : 0725hrs (Flight operate on Tue/Thur/Sat/Sun)
Leh(3500M) is situated on the banks of the river Indus.
Assistance on arrival by our office representatives and transfer
to hotel. Rest of the day free to acclimatise to high altitude

Morning after breakfast
leave for half day tour of Shanti Stupa, Leh palace, Leh Gompa,
and bazaar. After lunch excursion to Spituk, Phyang and Shankar
Gompas. Overnight stay in hotel

After breakfast leave
for excursion to Shey, Thiksey Gompas and stok palace. Return to
hotel. Afternoon free at leisure. Dinner and overnight in hotel.

leave for Hemis gompa (with box lunch) to witness the Hemis
festival. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

for Hemis with box lunch to witness the 2nd day of the festival.
Return to leh via Stakna and Mathok gompas. Dinner and overnight

11th July Leh - Uleytokpo (66 kms / 2 hrs approx)
After breakfast leave
for Uleytokpo enroute visit Basgo Castle and Likir gompa. After
lunch visit Alchi gompa. Evening free at leisure. Dinner and
overnight at Uley deluxe camp.

12th July Uleytokpo – Lamayuru – Uleytokpo (124 kms / return
trip)
After breakfast
leave for Lamayuru Hot lunch at Local Restaurant. Visit Lamayuru
gompa. Return to Uleytokpo enroute visiting Resong monastery.
Dinner and overnight in Uley camp.

13th July Uleytokpo - Leh
After breakfast return
drive to Leh. Check-in and lunch at hotel. Afternoon free for
independat activities. Evening visit a local Ladakh Family to
interact with them. Local “Gur-gur” Tea (Butter Tea) will be
graciously served by the house owner. Dinner and overnight in
hotel.

After breakfast at the
hotel transfer to the airport in time to board flight 9W 610 for
Delhi.
